Robert W. Elrod, Sr. (1937-2017)
Mr. Elrod, Sr. practiced law in Jacksonville for over 50 years. He represented clients and had extensive experience in family law, divorce and criminal cases. He graduated from the University of Florida with a B.A. and from George Washington University with a M.A. and obtained his Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida. He served as a Municipal Judge, a clerk with the First District Court of Appeals and as an Assistant State Attorney before entering private practice. From 1999 to 2017, he practiced law with his son. Mr. Elrod, Sr handled a wide variety of criminal, civil and family law cases at both the trial and appellate levels. He was a Jacksonville native and attended local schools. He is survived by his wife, his two sons and six grandchildren. His son, Robert Elrod Jr., continues the family law practice and legal service to the Jacksonville community inspired by the training and example provided by his father.
